What Nooksplore is

Nooksplore is an AI-powered local guide generator. We use artificial intelligence to research, verify, and write travel guides based on your location and interests.

AI-generated content

• Guides are generated by AI and may contain errors, outdated information, or inaccuracies.
• Always verify important details — hours, addresses, and prices — before making plans. Businesses change.
• Nooksplore is not responsible for decisions made based on guide content.
• We use Anthropic's Claude to generate content. Use of Nooksplore is subject to Anthropic's usage policies.

Your account and data

• When accounts launch, you will create a login with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We store anonymised, non-identifying search data to improve the service. This data cannot identify you personally. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
• You own your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Subscriptions and billing

• Nooksplore offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in USD via Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month you keep access until the period ends.
• If a payment fails, we will retry automatically. After repeated failures your account will be downgraded to the free tier until payment is resolved.
• To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan visit your profile settings or contact us at [email protected].
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days notice to active subscribers via email.
• The free Day Tripper tier is ad-supported. Ads are served by Google AdSense.

Beta access

• Beta users receive complimentary access to a designated tier at our discretion. Beta access may be modified or revoked at any time.
• Beta features are provided as-is and may change significantly before general availability.
• Feedback provided during beta may be used to improve the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Nooksplore to generate content for spam or misleading purposes.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

Intellectual property

• The Nooksplore name, logo, and design are our property.
• Guides generated for you are yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may not resell or redistribute generated guides without permission.

Availability

• We're a small team building something new. The service may occasionally be unavailable, change, or break. We'll always be transparent about it.
• We reserve the right to discontinue the service with reasonable notice to registered users.

Liability

• Nooksplore is provided as-is. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service or reliance on AI-generated content.
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which during the free early access period is zero.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
